Safe Catch Mediterranean Tuna Salad
Generally speaking, most people shy away from eating seafood because of its unique flavor or texture. However, with our mediterranean tuna salad recipe, you can learn to love seafood!
You may have guessed that the main ingredient you’ll be working with is of course….tuna. Not only is tuna much simpler to work with for those that are a complete novice in planning meals around seafood but, tuna itself is great for those of you that are in the soft food stage and beyond!
Our team can not get enough of this savory dish. If you have always enjoyed seafood then you’re going to want to keep this recipe handy. Our team was excited to try this recipe out being that we all are crazy about seafood. One reason to love seafood is because of the high nutritional value that comes from eating fish.
Tuna is low in fat and considered to be a great source of omega-3 fatty acids. What do we know about omega-3s? Well, in short, they are essential dietary fats that benefit your heart, eyes, and brain health. As always, our team at WLS Afterlife carefully selects which ingredients will work taste-wise, but also help with meeting your protein intake goals. For this recipe in particular we partnered with Safe Catch which was an easy decision simply for the fact that Safe Catch tuna is a great source of protein and is the only brand to use proprietary technology, which allows them to test every single fish for its mercury levels. About 1 out of 4 tunas tested do not pass their strict purity standards which makes eating this dish much more enjoyable!
After our third time re-creating the mediterranean tuna salad we realize how customizable this dish is. We substituted regular mayo for vegan mayo because it’s creamier and mixes very well with the other ingredients. Lastly, we know presentation is everything so, you can either serve on lettuce or multi-seed crips if you’re aiming for less carbs!
Please note that we always recommend our WLS Afterlife viewers follow their doctor’s dietary guidelines, regardless of our recipe instructions. If we listed an ingredient you were told to avoid, write to us so we may provide you with plenty of other tasty alternatives.
