Tasty Tuna Salad, a bariatric friendly recipe
Life after weight loss surgery doesn’t have to be a struggle when it comes to planning meals for yourself. Thankfully, WLS Afterlife has whipped up another bariatric-friendly recipe that is flavorful, nutritious, and enjoyable! This tasty tuna salad recipe is a must-try this summer, especially if you are a bariatric patient looking for a satisfying meal that will help you easily reach your protein goals.
Our tasty tuna salad recipe includes light ingredients but when blended together, create a savory meal worth making more than once a week. If you enjoy tuna, along with flavors that you would find in a bloody mary, then this might be your go-to meal prep during your weight loss journey.
Don’t let your new dietary restrictions deprive your taste buds of enjoying unique flavors and textures. If you’re coming out of the soft food phase of your weight loss diet, and ready to start testing your culinary skills out then give the recipe a try! It’s easy to make and only requires two simple steps.
When selecting your ingredients from your local grocery store be sure to find the freshest parsley, roasted red peppers, and celery as this will only elevate this recipe’s flavourful taste. If you’re looking to add a bit of a spicy kick, then we recommended sticking with the hot chinese mustard. If not, then using your favorite brand of dijon mustard will also do.
The hot chinese mustard included in this recipe, along with all the other ingredients blended together creates a bloody mary-like taste when you combine the tomato juice. To our surprise, this recipe was very juicy and provided a light crunch from the chopped celery stalks and roasted red peppers. Overall, this recipe provides your mouth with a combination of delicious flavors and nutritional value.
Don’t let your smaller stomach keep you from enjoying what life has to offer!
