We looked deep into our pantry and found some great items that we felt could really change up the flavor to our sugar free vanilla yogurt. Items like lemon extract, sugar free maple syrup, pumpkin spice, sugar free hazelnut coffee creamer and a few more. Then we ran to the store and checked the aisles for other items to mix in the really mix things up.

You will see recipes names like Morning Kickstart, Banana Nut and Tropical Delight, just to name a few. We really wanted to come up with some fun and tasty ways to change up the flavor of our plain vanilla yogurt. Keep in mind, we did start with Sugar Free Vanilla Yogurt. If you really like this set of recipes, we can come up with more recipes using sugar free plain yogurt. Just make sure to let us know on Social Media.

Ok, Back to the good stuff! Most of these recipes are mix and eat. No waiting required. If you are needing a sweet tasting afternoon hit of protein, these will take just minutes to prepare. There are 3 that will need to sit or set just a little. The 2 recipes using ground cinnamon or pumpkin spice, need to sit for a little to let the spices really mix in.

We also did 1 recipe with chia seeds. We could have used chia seeds in many of the recipes, but only showcased it in 1 recipe. Anytime you are mixing in chia seeds, you really need to let them set up in the mixture to really get the texture just right.

Our main goal with this group of bariatric friendly recipes was to help anymore struggling with food boredom after bariatric surgery. There are certain diet phases or stages after weight loss surgery that are much harder to deal with than others. Our hope is that these ideas can help break up the monotony off those stages.

We also know how important it is to hit your daily protein goals after weight loss surgery. Greek Yogurt is a great option to keep around, but you probably don’t want to eat the same flavored yogurt everyday. Hopefully these recipes will help, if not get you thinking about some other items you can add to your sugar free vanilla yogurt to mix things up.

We are hoping that this recipe will help with just enough of a flavor and texture change that it can help this stage be a little easier to deal with. We did not use protein powder in any of these recipes, but it’s a great option. If you haven’t bought unflavored protein powder yet, you need to add this to you shopping list. We get ours on Amazon.
