Simply Delish – Creamsicle

Think back to the days of long afternoons spent playing outside with neighborhood friends and a cool, refreshing treat waiting for you when it’s time to go inside. Or maybe you chased the ice cream truck to get your fix of the creamy, citrusy goodness that is orange cream popsicles. Well, those days aren’t long gone! We have resurrected this long-loved sweet from your childhood memory into a bariatric friendly dessert for your pleasure!
This Simply Delish Creamsicle recipe uses Jel that has 5 calories per serving and 0g added sugar so you can indulge without regret. Depending on the Sugar Free or Dairy Free option you choose for the whipped topping, you shouldn’t be adding many more calories or sugars. Always make sure that you choose sugar free when possible. Oh and prepare a couple of hours before planning to enjoy it because it will take just a bit of time for all of the ingredients to set! But trust us – the wait is worth it!
The fresh mandarin oranges help bring a light, freshness to this dessert without being heavy-handed in the sugar. When shopping for your ingredients, we recommend getting oranges preserved in 100% fruit juice rather than the corn syrup alternative. Many brands also have “No Sugar Added” options too. This will also help to prevent unwanted glucose from entering your bloodstream! If there is another type of fruit you prefer that you feel will pair well with the orange Jel, feel free to get experimental! (Just be sure your ideas with us on social!) Whatever fruit you choose, just make sure to set some aside for a final garnish! Once you have the Jel mixture combined and setting in the fridge, definitely multi-task and get going with the creamy topping! The vanilla pudding from Simply Delish makes the texture so satisfying and sweet without the calories found in traditional pudding mixes. And we love that their products are vegan and keto-friendly! Once the Jel mixture has fully set, take it out of the fridge and evenly spread the whipped cream pudding mixture across the top. Now it’s time to get crafty/creative! Grab those spare fruit chunks and decorate your dessert for a dish that’s delicious for your eyes and your tummy! Maybe even do this with a friend or family member for added fun!
Afterward, you’ll have to wait just a few more minutes before you can enjoy it! Let it set for at least another 20 minutes before you grab a serving! Use the time to deep clean the kitchen in the meantime, or maybe even relax on the couch for an episode or two before it’s time to dig in!

• 1 Box Simply Delish Orange Jel
• 3 Cups Boiling Water
• 1 Large Can No Sugar Added Mandarin Oranges (almost completely drained)
• 1 Box Simply Delish Vanilla Pudding
• 1 & 1/4 Cup Coconut Milk (or other low calorie milk of your choosing)
• 8 ounces sugar-free Cool Whip
• Mix the boiling water with the Orange Jel until all of the granules are dissolved.
• Add 1 can mandarin oranges with whatever juice is remaining and stir to combine.
• Place in the fridge until set, about 1 hour.
• In a bowl, combine pudding and milk until thick.
• Fold in the whipped topping and spread on the Jel salad.
• Place remaining oranges on top as garnish and chill for about 20-30 minutes until set.
