I think one of the main fears before weight loss surgery has to do with what to eat after bariatric surgery. While it’s true that there are some things that you should probably avoid after surgery, there are plenty of ways to rework some of your favorite foods to make them fit better in your diet after weight loss surgery. This recipe is great news for lasagna lovers.
Our low carb zucchini lasagna gives you the same flavors and a very similar texture to regular lasagna, but with way less carbs and calories. Now, we used ground turkey for our bariatric lasagna recipe. You can use any ground meat that works best for you. Just keep in mind any restrictions or guidelines that your bariatric surgeon gave you.
This recipe makes quite few bariatric portions, so it’s great for family, friends or your bariatric meal prep for the week! If you don’t want anyone else to realize that you used zucchini instead of pasta noodles, you can peel the skin from the zucchini and that will make it very difficult for anyone to see the substitution.
