We cooked up this flavorful Black Bean Puree so that you can enjoy it for lunch, dinner, or whenever you are craving something salty! Perfect in a pinch, this dish can be made in under 10 minutes! Each serving is under 100 calories and 0 grams of fat, so you get to enjoy it guilt-free as well!
If you are further along in your journey, you can also use this recipe as a quick and easy bean dip instead of the alternative store-bought variety that is usually laden with fat and calories. We love having this Black Bean Puree as a bean dip to dunk cauliflower chips or low-calorie tortilla chip substitutes! That way, guests who may not be bariatric patients can enjoy it as well! I have prepared this for a Girl’s Night In, and everyone loved snacking on it while we enjoyed a movie and great conversation!

Ingredient
- 1 can of black beans (drain if you want thicker puree)
- 1 can of Rotel tomatoes
- Juice from 1/2 of lime (change to taste)
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- Handful of cilantro
- ½ tsp salt

- Protein: 23.3g
- Carbohydrates: 69.2g
- Fat: 1.5g
- Fiber: 16.2g
Directions
- Put all ingredients in a sauce pan and bring to a boil.
- Put into blender and puree.
You can also blend ingredients first and cook on the stove or in the microwave.
