Time for another Puree Recipe! We know that in this phase of your bariatric journey, you may be eating a LOT of cottage cheese, because it’s filling, and OK’ed (by most doctors) to eat during this phase.

Getting tired of the same chunky texture of cottage cheese, or want to add some sweetness back into your post-surgery diet?

This recipe makes for a delicious whipped puree with the natural sweetness of strawberries and almond butter.

Bariatric Friendly Strawberry Cottage Cheese Whipped Puree


*Note* Additional toppings are only for patients past the puree phase, if you’re still in the puree phase- don’t add toppings!

1 1/2 cups low-fat cottage cheese

2 tablespoons almond butter

½ cup sliced strawberries

2 scoops flavorless protein powder

*optional toppings: chopped almonds, strawberry slices, sugar free syrup.


1. Combine all ingredients (minus toppings) in a bowl and mix

2. Add your ingredients to your blender – we used the NutriBullet

3. Blend on high until at a smooth, light, whipped consistency

4. Add desired toppings (if you’re done with the puree phase)

5. Serve and Enjoy!
