Take a bite into our delicious twist on hamburger cups and hamburger skillets. We call this bariatric surgery recipe the Big Mac in a bowl! Think of this recipe as a deconstructed burger- without the bun.
Brown your ground beef and season with the ingredients listed below. Then add the beef, along with your hamburger toppings to a bowl of fresh spinach! Our homemade sauce is what truly mimics the “Big Mac” flavor- it tastes similar to many of the sauces on hamburgers at popular American food chains. If you plan on making this recipe as part of your bariatric meal prep, make sure to store the salad portion separately, so that your spinach doesn’t get soggy.
Although this recipe is a mixture of several healthy ingredients, be sure to stick to bariatric portion sizes, based on where you are in your post weight loss surgery journey.
