Summer is here ☀️ and we have got a treat for you! This recipe is absolutely delicious, even if you’re not on a bariatric diet- you’ll want to try this delectable apple & chicken breakfast sausage.
Imagine this- it’s a warm morning outside, you wake up at about 8am, there’s a stillness to your home (maybe it’s before the kids wake up), and after a couple minutes of meditation of your choosing, you smell the aroma of fresh, bariatric friendly sausage for breakfast.

This recipe is simple and bariatric friendly; perfect if you’re a couple months post-op and are looking for a delicious and healthy meal that will help aid your weight loss. After all, it can be hard finding new, nutritious and flavorful meals that fit into a bariatric diet.

Summer Bariatric Breakfast Sausage
1 lb ground chicken
1 small apple (peeled and minced)
½ medium onion (minced)
½ tsp garlic (minced)
1 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley
1 tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
2 Tbsp avocado oil
1. Add the ingredients in a bowl and mix
2. Make ¾” thick patties
3. Heat oil in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat
4. Cook each side for 3-4 minute or until browned
5. Serve and Enjoy!
