These tuna and cottage cheese stuffed bell peppers may become a staple snack in your home after weight loss surgery! Here’s why:
➡️There’s only 3 ingredients
➡️Packed with protein from the tuna
➡️2 options for texture
➡️Simple & quick recipe
This delicious bariatric recipe has also been called “bell pepper boats,” “tuna bell pepper boats,” or “tuna salad stuffed peppers.”
The mixture that you stuff the bell peppers with is simply cottage cheese and packaged tuna from Safe Catch. We understand not all people are a fan of cottage cheese for the texture, so for half of a portion, we blended the cottage cheese to create a whipped texture for the mixture.

The best thing about this post-op bariatric recipe is the versatility, you can use it in many ways.
- If you’re still in the puree phase after bariatric surgery, eat the whipped mixture without the bell pepper boat.
- If you’re in the soft food stage, eat the regular mixture without the boat.
- If you’re past the first 6 weeks post weight loss surgery, eat the entire recipe with the bell pepper boats. (Firstly, follow your doctors recommendations)
