Texas Egg Salad Bariatric Recipe

Don’t let dietary restrictions keep you from enjoying your new life! Our team is dedicated to providing bariatric patients with meals that are both enjoyable and healthy! For this recipe, we chose to go with sugar-free mayonnaise and the choice of adding salt and pepper is completely optional. Whatever variation you decide to go with, our only suggestion would be to share it with us on social media! 



Texas Egg Salad Ingredients

3 hard-boiled eggs

1 Tbs of sugar-free mayonnaise

1 Tbs dijon mustard

1 Tbs Steak Sauce

1 tsp pickled jalapenos

Salt and black pepper

1 pinch cayenne pepper

Estimated Total Nutrition (for 1 serving):

  • Calories: ~240 kcal
  • Protein: ~14g (from eggs)
  • Carbs: ~2g (mainly from mustard, steak sauce, and pickled jalapenos)
  • Fat: ~18g (from eggs and mayo)

Directions

  1. Chop hard-boiled eggs and transfer to a large bowl
  2. Stir sugar-free mayonnaise, dijon mustard, sweet pickled jalapenos, steak sauce, and cayenne pepper into the bowl containing the eggs and mix well.
  3. Season with salt and black pepper as needed. Cover and refrigerate until chilled.
